SancTale
Squitch climbed aboard the big bird, and away they flew, landing in a large open air building, a short time later. Looking all around, Squitch could see the portals that connected to the realms of some of the other furres, but nothing seemed to catch his eye. It was then that he spotted the portal by the river, the one with the sign reading "Sanctuary." "Sanctuary." Squitch thought. "Sound just like what I need... " When Squitch's vision returned, he stood at the base of a beautiful mountain that rose out of the sea. Behind him were three boats, and before him, a path that wound up the mountain. Looking up, Squitch saw that the path ended at a plateau, where a large compound sat. "Accompany me up the mountain, little friend?" The voice had come from just to his left. Squitch turned to look. Sitting by a sign was a heavily cloaked, black furred feline. "Sure." Squitch said, nervously. The big cat smiled, as he stood. "Relax, little friend." He said. "I do not eat mice." The feline placed a paw on the little mouse's shoulder, and together they climbed the path to the plateau. As they reached the top, the big cat turned, and regarded Squitch. "A journey is often so much easier when someone is there to share it with you." The feline said. "The Circle is here to share your journey through life with you. I am Grymm, Guide of the Real Circlette. Welcome to Sanctuary." Squitch looked around the room Grymm had led him to. The room was large, a multitude of pillows surrounding a large table. Plants lined the walls, and their sweet scents filled the air. The room was pleasant, comfortable. Many furres were seated on the pillows, and but two spots remained, one on either side of a beautiful, cream colored feline in a green dress. Grymm took the seat to her left, and indicated Squitch should take the other. "Emerald," Grymm addressed the fefurre, "this is Squitch. Squitch, this is Emerald Flame, The Heart of The Circle." "Welcome to Sanctuary." Emerald said, smiling softly. "I hope you enjoy your stay. If you need help with anything, don't hesitate to ask anyone wearing this ring." Emerald Flame held up her right hand, showing the ring, three bands of gold entwined in a never-ending circle. "Thank-you. And I will." Squitch smiled brightly, feeling the warmth of friendship in the room. This was, indeed, what he had been searching for, a place where he was welcome, where he felt he could belong. Finally, Squitch was home.
